Debra Quick - Godly Play on YouTube
Not part of our house church series, but an online series for our young and young at heart.
"Godly Play is what [author] Jerome Berryman calls his interpretation of Montessori religious education....It is more akin to spiritual guidance than to what we generally think of as religious education. Godly Play assumes that children have some experience of the mystery of the presence of God in their lives...." (from The Complete Guide to Godly Play)
Godly Play stories are told in a meditative way, with the focus on the story, rather than the storyteller. Afterwards, we "wonder": What does this story mean to me? What's important here? Since each person is invited to reflect from their own experience, both children and adults can learn and grow during the process.
Debbie Quick, Director of St. Peter's Children's Ministries, records and posts a new story on YouTube each Saturday. For story links, email Debbie () to be added to the weekly email list or visit https://www.stpetersaz.com/communication/calendar and click on "Godly Play story posted" on Saturday. The link will be in the description.
